Mrs Anthony spent 34 years of her life working as a specially-trained English teacher from the only institute that provided special training on the island, the English Teachers’ Training College, Panideniya.

She also performed as the Master teacher for ‘English as a Life Skill’, and as the In-service advisor for English in the Kandy zone. By following ITESL, she gained vast experience to inspire others. Mrs Anthony was the chief at G.C.E O/L & G.C.E A/L paper marking and has worked as the resource person in the Sathyodaya institute.
