Mr Abdulrahuman worked as an English teacher since 2004, and as the resource person for the English unit of the Sri Lanka Navy from 2009 to 2014. From the year 2016 to 2018, he served as the principal of Al-Munawwara primary school and made his service period memorable. Mr Abdulrahuman also performed as the ITESL trainer at the British Council, Ministry of Education. He is one of the initial members in the community of practice at the British Council, Ministry of Education.

Currently, he is working as a lecturer at the National College of Education, Sri Lanka since 2018. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies at the Open University, 2009-2012; Post Graduate Diploma in Education (TESL), University of Colombo, 2014-2015; MA in Linguistics at the University of Kelaniya; and an MPhil in Linguistics. Mr Abdulrahuman has also followed Diplomas in English language teaching, NIE, 2001-2003; and Psychological counselling, NISD, 2019-2020.
